Built by someone who spent 30 years fixing steel forms

Plastic Formwork Hire is a family-owned and founded Australian company, with production and manufacturing facilities in Queensland.

The product was conceived by Trevor Davis after three decades in the industry cleaning cement residue and corrosion from used inner and outer manhole steel forms, and constantly being asked to repair bent, twisted, rusted-through and otherwise damaged sections of steel formwork. He began exploring more efficient and cost-effective ways of achieving the same, if not better, results.

We manufacture all our own components in-house using an Australian-made Multicam CNC router deck for accuracy in cutting, and every component is welded and tested in-house before hire.

Trevor Davis, Owner & Founder

Trevor has run successful businesses in sandblasting and construction welding for over 30 years, providing services to the construction industry. He saw a need for an easier way to work with formwork when using concrete, and developed Plastic Formwork Hire. Trevor previously served in the military.

“The construction industry has evolved so much over the decades, but foremen and contractors were still reliant on heavy lifting gear, lost man hours on cleaning, and complex haulage to install their sewer manholes and stormwater pits.”
